SkyFive, a prominent provider of Air-to-Ground (A2G) technology solutions and services, has expanded its operations to the Middle East and Africa.
With a well-established aviation communication network that covers all the routes across Europe, SkyFive is recognised for offering the fastest inflight connectivity solutions in the region.
The company appointed Mohamed AbdelRehim, a seasoned business leader with vast experience in leading global businesses, including Nokia and Siemens AG telecom business across Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa, as the new regional CEO.
During LEAP 2023, SKYFive Arabia announced a strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia’s STC Group. The partnership seeks to build an exclusive ground network that covers flight routes across the kingdom.
The strategic partnership is part of a broader plan, which will include later announcements covering more routes across the region.
Saudi Arabia is one of the most congested countries by aviation traffic, and it is the most congested globally for domestic and international routes.
“While our solution is 10x cheaper in cost for onboarding our equipment to aircraft, we are committed to delivering the fastest inflight WiFi service to our clients at 10x faster than any solution available in the market today,” AbdelRehim commented.
