November 17, 2025 – Siden, a provider of AI-driven edge caching and digital content services, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SCIT Group, through its subsidiary SKYFive Arabia, the regional pioneer in Air-to-Ground (A2G) inflight broadband connectivity.

The partnership introduces first-of-its-kind intelligent caching for inflight A2G networks, enabling airlines to deliver even faster, more reliable onboard access to data-intensive streaming and browsing content while also reducing network load and operating costs.

Through this collaboration, airlines will benefit from proactive caching of high-demand content onboard the aircraft and reduced dependency on continuous ground downloads, which preserves bandwidth for real-time services. AI-based prediction of passenger content needs optimizes onboard availability, ensuring higher streaming quality and lower latency, even with congested passenger usage. The result is more efficient network utilization and improved connectivity economics

Siden’s platform monitors usage patterns and viewing trends to position popular content directly on the aircraft ahead of its demand. This allows passengers to load and stream instantly, while the airline reduces peak-time data transfers and load on the network.

SKYFive Arabia’s A2G network provides airlines with high-speed, low-latency broadband through a dedicated grid of ground towers and lightweight onboard equipment. This architecture reduces aircraft drag and weight, contributing to lower fuel burn and improved operational efficiency.

On this occasion, Jim Nelson, CEO of Siden, said “Airlines are looking for ways to improve digital quality onboard while managing data costs and bandwidth constraints. Our edge caching platform, combined with SKYFive Arabia’s A2G network, allows carriers to deliver superior inflight streaming and browsing experiences with much higher reliability and efficiency.”

Mohamed K. AbdelRehim, CEO of SCIT Group and SKYFive Arabia, added “Intelligent caching is a major step forward in inflight broadband performance. By integrating AI-driven content delivery with our A2G system, airlines can offer faster digital services, reduce network overhead, and improve passenger satisfaction. This partnership sets a new benchmark for operational and commercial value in connected fleets.”
