Space Communication and Information Technology (SCIT) has signed a formal agreement with SAMI Alsalam Aerospace Industries Company for the installation, testing, and certification of Air-to-Ground (A2G) inflight connectivity systems on aircraft operated by Flynas. The services will be delivered directly to SkyFive Arabia, SCIT’s wholly owned subsidiary and the end recipient of all contracted work.
Under the agreement, SAMI Alsalam will execute a multi-year program to install A2G connectivity on up to 120 Flynas aircraft, making this one of the Kingdom’s largest commercial aviation digital upgrade projects.
Based on the signed agreement, SCIT is the contracting and signing party, SkyFive Arabia is the customer and ultimate beneficiary, and SAMI Alsalam is the exclusive service provider performing the installation, testing, and certification activities.
SAMI Alsalam will perform the complete A2G system installation and all work will be performed under the authority of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA). The scope of work includes installation of all A2G components, completion of system and EMI testing, issuance of GACA-approved CRS certificates, and full project coordination and logistics support under a Firm-Fixed-Price structure.
